Train your English like a workout.

Real conversations, dealt as playing cards. Hear a natural voice, follow the yellow highlight word by word, and flip any card to read it in your own language. Then a real coach helps you lock it in.

The whole workout, in under a minute.

How it works

Four reps per card. That's the whole workout.

01

Pick a card

Choose a real-life situation from the deck, or type your own and AI deals you a brand-new card.

02

Listen and follow

A natural voice plays the host. Every word turns yellow as it's spoken, so you never lose your place.

03

Flip when you're stuck

Turn the card over to see the same conversation in your language, line by line, then flip back.

04

Speak your lines

Say your part out loud. Words you miss become flashcards automatically, ready for tomorrow's session.

The deck

Train the whole deck. Earn your trophies.

Every suit is a part of life, and it’s yours to fill: describe a real moment from your life and it becomes a card in your deck. Each card has a weight: the higher the number, the heavier the conversation. Max-effort cards are where things go wrong and you have to handle it. Nail 10 of your own cards in a suit and you earn its trophy.

Describe any situation and AI writes the conversation at your level, translates it, and voices the host. It lands in your deck as a new card you can replay as often as you like.

Neil, your PimpMyLingo coach, in Bangkok
Coaching

The app is the gym. I'm your trainer.

Hi, I'm Neil, an Englishman living in Bangkok. Before I “retired” to Thailand, I spent years in financial planning and investment management in Australia, so I know the English that real work runs on: meetings, presentations, client calls and everything in between.

I'm also a qualified personal trainer, and that's why PimpMyLingo feels like a workout, not a classroom: short reps, visible progress and a bit of fun, so you actually want to come back tomorrow.

I love languages, but I'll be honest: I'm a lazy learner. Right now I'm learning Spanish, and living here means Thai is next on my list. These cards are how I practise the moments that actually come up, so I built PimpMyLingo to make that easy for you too.

Book live lessons and I'll see what you practised before we meet, so every session goes straight to the words and moments you find hardest. I know what it's like to be the learner, so no lectures, just real conversations.

  • A personal plan each week, like a training program
  • Lessons built from your own practice and mistakes
  • Progress you can see: minutes trained, words learned, cards nailed

Questions

Which languages can I flip cards into?

Right now cards flip into Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Indonesian, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese. You can also learn in English only, with no translation. Missing your language? Tell us: we add languages as people ask for them.

What level do I need to be?

Any level, from Beginner (A1) to Advanced (C1). Pick where you are when you sign up and every card is written for you. There are no tests: your Fitness score rises with the hours you put in, based on research into how long each level really takes, and you move up once you’ve done the hours and nailed 10 of your own cards at that level. Beginners can lean on the flip side; stronger learners can make any card harder.

Is it just an app, or are there real lessons?

Both. You can train solo with the app, or add Personal training for weekly 1:1 lessons built from what you practised in the app that week.

How does the voice and yellow highlight work?

Each card is voiced by a natural-sounding AI voice. As it speaks, every word lights up yellow at the exact moment you hear it, so you can follow along and copy the rhythm.

How much does it cost?

Self-guided is $12.99 a month, or $99 a year, and starts with a 7-day free trial. Personal training is $179 a month and includes everything in Self-guided (the cards, AI cards and my videos) plus four 45-minute 1:1 lessons, with only 20 places at a time. Plans renew until you cancel, and you can cancel any time and keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for. Not sure yet? Try the demo first.
